Lecture and Book Signing
America's Romance with the English Garden
With Thomas Mickey

The English garden has long fascinated the American public and influenced this country's gardening trends. Much of our affection for the English landscape can be traced to 19th century seed catalogs, which were colorfully illustrated with scenes of English-style gardens. Thomas Mickey is a certified Master Gardener and author of the recently published America's Romance with the English Garden. The author will discuss the development of American gardening and the influence that 19th century marketing had on it.
